Course Description: This course examines the conceptual and theoretical aspects and implication of human rights in international relations and foreign policy. It reflects on the establishment and development of an international human rights architecture. It also discusses the realization of human rights; revision of the concepts of sovereignty, and possible re-understanding of international relations; human rights and international justice; human rights and conflict; hegemony and empire; current human rights tensions; and the future of human rights in international politics.
