Course Description: This special topics course offers an examination of Brazilian culture for international students. It explores the various stereotypes present in internationally disseminated images and considers the construction of the Brazilian Portuguese language, as well as verbal, non-verbal, and social interactional patterns. It discusses other cultural aspects including ethnic diversity, art, religion, folklore, cuisine, and language through theoretical readings, debates, and lectures.
