Course Description: This course begins by looking at the definition of business ethics, and why it is everybody‚Äôs business. The course takes an introductory, pluralistic approach to ethics and combines it with practical case studies. Emphasis is on current news stories and major ethical theories are used as a prism through which to view moral dilemmas in business. This course challenges students to develop their higher-level critical thinking skills, through lectures, discussions, and personal reflections. In addition, the AESP (Applied Ethics Service Project) provides the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to actual situations in context.
