Course Description: This course provides an overview of topics pertaining to aerospace engineering. The focus is mainly on aeronautical engineering (atmospheric vehicles), with topics covering aerodynamics, structures, aircraft performance, thermodynamics, and propulsion (engine). The course also introduces the non-engineering aspects of the field, including the airline industry, cost estimation, environmental impacts of aviation, policy, and regulations. A brief introduction of astronautical engineering (space flights and rocket science) is given near the end of the course.
