Course Description: This course introduces the basic systems and concepts of industrial-organizational psychology, analyzing the behavioral and psychological phenomenon and problems that occur in organizational management, as well as studying performance-related psychological and behavioral patterns and phenomena among four different categories: individual, group, organization, and the leader. The course also discusses the methods of description, definition, control, and predictions in industrial organizational psychology, in order to conduct research in finding out how to increase organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction through a systematic route. The course further analyzes current developments and models of organizational management, ultimately giving a holistic understanding of the subject. Texts: Newstrom and Davis: Organization Behavior; Fred Luthans, Organizational Behavior; Lei Wang, Industrial Operations Psychology. Assessment: class assignments, participation, mini quizzes, experiment (30%); final exam (70%).
