Course Description: This course presents the history of Chinese literature from the period of the Sui and Tang Dynasty through the Qing Dynasty. Important authors alongside their masterpieces and literary activities are introduced to provide students with a systematic knowledge of the development of Chinese literature through the ages and familiarize them with a certain amount of literary works. The main focus of the course is Tang poetry and Song Ci.
