Course Description: This intensive introduction to Spanish language builds on elements covered in beginning level I (SPAN 42), combining an increased focus on aural and reading comprehension, improved oral and written expression. Grammar and vocabulary covered at this level include: present indicative tense, expressions of frequency, prepositions and adverbs of place; irregular verbs, demonstrative pronouns; perfect past tense, direct object personal pronouns; describe past situations and future plans; provide recommendation and give instructions. The cultural content of the course is incorporated into the linguistic and grammatical components through texts, films, games and songs.
