Course Description: This intensive Spanish course provides instruction at the advanced intermediate level. Communicative and grammatical elements covered include: past imperfect subjunctive, prepositions por/para, expressing cause and result, conditions and desires; connectors of logical order, eso de/eso de que; combining past tenses, gerunds, compound infinite; describe movements and status of persons and objects, temporal constructions, indirect discourse; defining and explanatory relative clauses; subordinate concessive clauses; past perfect subjunctive. The cultural content of the course is incorporated into the linguistic and grammatical components through texts, films, games and songs.
