Course Description: This unit examines the ways in which the lives of children and young adults are shaped by digital culture. It addresses the following questions: What role do digital media play in society and culture? How does it shape young people's experiences, values, and learning opportunities? By examining this process in historical and contemporary contexts, students gain insight into how identity is shaped by practices such as social networking, videogame playing, and digital authoring.
