Course Description: This course introduces current thinking and trends in entrepreneurship, with a specific focus on social entrepreneurship. The course is designed to provide an understanding of the key processes, challenges and experiences of initiating and delivering a profitable business venture that also has a positive and transformative impact on society. Through a combination of working on case studies and live projects, students learn how to identify the key elements of successful social enterprises, integrate various elements of the social entrepreneurship venture and evaluate and mobilise resources needed for activation. Assessment: 3 individual assessments (10% each), group project (20%), final exam (50%).
