Course Description: This course studies the major determinants of health in domestic animals. Using case studies that draw on a range of domestic and exotic animal species, students examine the role of housing, welfare, nutrition, and control of infectious agents of disease in the maintenance of health of animals. Students are able to understand different management systems appropriate for optimizing health and welfare of domestic animal populations.
