Course Description: This course examines the range of locations where human animal interactions occur and how those interactions can be as beneficial as possible to both human and animal. The course emphasizes the complex roles and responsibilities, and ethical requirements in human contact with animals, as well as develop skills in measuring those interactions. Students draw upon examples from species managed as companions, in zoos, research environments and in livestock production.
