Course Description: This course examines multimedia contents such as images and audio to better understand modern computer engineering. Through using Java programming and multimedia tool, the methods of image generation, analyzing image content, semantics, and video contents are examined. Some books are assigned as references such as DIGITAL GAZO SHORI by Computer Graphic Arts Society, and INTRODUCTION TO MPEG-7: MULTIMEDIA CONTENT DESCRIPTION INTERFACE edited by Phillipe Salembier, Thomas Sikora, and B.S. Manjunath. Assessment: class participation (30%), and web or mobile application development (70%).
