Course Description: | This course discusses various topics on modern mathematics, including matrix groups, basics of probability theory, and geometry on finite affine planes. It examines the notion of groups and understanding symmetries in mathematics (Matrices, Lie algebra, Erlangen program); introduces the notion of probability spaces and random variables. While learning about geometry on finite affine planes, emphasis is placed on magic squares. Throughout the course, abstract mathematical theories are discussed and used to solve complex problems.
Assessment: attendance and homework assignments. |
