Course Description: This course introduces key figures and topics in moral, social, and political philosophy. Topics covered in moral philosophy include questions such as the nature of morality, moral judgment, moral virtue, values, and ethical decision making. Topics covered in social and political philosophy include the character of human freedom, rights and responsibilities, and notions of justice. The course also focuses on a number of contemporary ethical issues to explore how morality and moral notions are articulated in today‚Äôs society.
