Course Description: The course examines the fundamental principles underlying investment and security analysis with emphasis on the practical application of financial theory. Topics covered include investment alternatives and environments; psychology of the stock market and investing; portfolio and asset pricing theory; market efficiency and challenges; security valuation; macroanalysis and microvaluation of the stock market; industry, technical, and company analysis; equity, behavioral, and bond portfolio management; bond yields and prices; analysis and valuation of bonds; behavioral finance and personal asset allocation process; and evaluation of portfolio performance.
