Course Description: This course offers a study of impression psychology. Impression psychology focuses on the intentional influence of impressions and judgments of others. This topic has always been a central concern of human action, from war paint used by ancient peoples to “hacking the wetware” of the present. The course treats impression formation as a central paradigm of social cognition. Students examine the research history with its models and experimental approaches in its broad applications.
