Course Description: This course analyzes Japanese history, culture, and language from multiple points of view through discussion in Japanese between local and international students from various backgrounds. Native Japanese students and foreign exchange students work together to discuss and better understand each others' images or impressions of modern Japanese history and culture. Students do a presentation on some part of Japanese history and indicate their thoughts on it, then the rest of the class discusses their thoughts. Students are also required to write an essay to go into more detail.
