Course Description: This course introduces the structure and organization of the central and peripheral nervous system. It investigates the make-up of the individual cells, examines the different regions of the nervous system, and explores the organization of various systems (sensory and motor), together with aspects of higher-order function (memory). In essence, the course covers general concepts of organization, structure, and function of the brain and its different areas. Students examine specimens in the anatomy labs and museum.
