Course Description: This course provide a comprehensive introduction to the biological basis of human mind and behavior. The topics include the neural basis of sensation and perception, learning, attention, memory, language, and emotion; genetic, ethnological, neuro-physiological and psychopharmacological bases of animal and human development. Emphasis is on the role of the central nervous systems in learning, emotion, motivation and personality. Assessment: attendance (20%), weekly quizzes (40%), and final reports (40%).
