Course Description: This course analyzes industrial, commercial, and financial aspects of the contemporary American economy focusing on the current situations of the American economy. First, recent trends of the economic growth of the American economy are discussed before turning to fiscal and monetary policies in detail. Primary reading materials include Economic Report of the President in 2016, FRB reports to Congress, and others published by IMF and financial institutions. Assessment: classroom activities and final report. Prerequisites: microeconomics and macroeconomics.
