Course Description: This course presents a unique opportunity to study contemporary business through an intensive case study of Nissan. Each week a senior executive from Nissan provides a lecture on the key aspects of the firm's operations and strategy. From this corporate case study, the course teaches the sources of Nissan's contemporary corporate strength, the challenges and opportunities faced by such a global corporation, and the changing nature of business in Japan. Assessment: midterm quiz (35%), final exam (50%), class participation (15%)
