Course Description: This course outlines basic ideas of business administration and management. The business enterprise is considered the main subject of production, and a major creator of values and wealth in the society. The focus of this course is on management, which is required to operate such business enterprises and other organizations. The course discusses sub-fields of business administration (corporation, organization, corporate strategy, innovation, small-and medium-sized enterprises, international business etc.) to see the whole picture of management; introduces the management skills necessary for planning, structuring, controlling and leading an organization; and provides a framework for understanding issues regarding both managing and being managed. Assessment: final exam (75%), participation (25%).
