Course Description: This course provides an overview of the wetlands in Ghana. It examines the definition, types, value, and function of wetlands. Particular attention is placed on hydrology and soils, including the physio-chemical properties, and wetland flora and fauna (adaptations, competition, and survival strategies). Other topics include ecological characteristics and mechanisms governing movement, distribution, and quality of water.
