Course Description: This course observes the economic relations between China and the United States through nine different topics: China-U.S. trade relations and international political economy, evolution and development of China-U.S. trade relations from 1972 to 2008, the globalization of economy and its influence on the China-U.S. relations, issues after China entering the WTO, comparison of China and U.S. economic policies, the influence of import and export regulations, foreign direct investment and economic collaboration, the influence of the RMB on the financial cooperation between the China and the U.S., China, U.S. and the international economic structure.
