The topics come from various types of problems and are analyzed from political and cultural perspectives. Topics include official ranks, governance theory of pre-Qin thinkers, the great houses during the middle ages, ethnic domination, bureaucrat selection system, foreign-Chinese interaction, some important emperors, changes of imperial capitals as political and cultural centers, etc.
