Course Description: This course introduces the basic theories and contents on environmental protection and environmental management, and the historical evolution and present situation of China‚Äôs environmental problems, mainly related to energy and climate problems, population and food crisis, protection of water resources and the problems of soil and water conservation, species invasion and the biodiversity protection, large urban diseases, cultural assimilation problems. In addition, this course analyzes the natural, social, and economic origins of China`s environmental problems, to provide comprehensive understanding of China`s environmental problems and policy.
