This course explores these processes in the context of the nature of Israeli society and the major foreign policy decisions taken by Israeli leaders. It covers the genesis and development of Zionism, democracy, and religion in Modern Israel; post-Zionism; and the role of the Holocaust in Israel, Jerusalem, and the settlements.
