Course Description:
This course examines international human rights and the evolving protections related to gender and sexual orientation. The course discusses the rights, the processes related to how these protections have come into place, and the institutions that uphold these protections. The course focuses on human rights within the European Union and how large powers such as Europe and the US affect and influence the human rights protections of other states. Lastly, due to the ever-developing topic of human rights, the course examines current events in relation to the topic.
