Course Description: The course focuses on examples of major sensory systems; the control of movement; and on complex brain functions such as memory, language, and consciousness. These complex functional capacities are considered from the perspective of normal brain operation and from an examination of the abnormalities underlying neurological disorders. Students learn about the range of technologies and theoretical starting points in the analysis of brain operation, the fundamental results of experimental and clinical neuroscience, and the technological developments associated with them.
