Course Description: This course provides an overview of the process of designing a new venture in a complex global economy and an analysis of the benefits and challenges faced by entrepreneurs. This process and analysis may also apply to globalizing initiatives in larger firms (by intrapreneurs). Students consider how entrepreneurship, in applying innovative and creative ideas in business, faces additional challenges when launching new ventures and activities in a more complex global landscape, including awareness of contextual differences of different regions.
