| Course Description: | This course studies the application of psychological theories to educational problems. Topics include the definition of learning, behavioral theories of learning, stimulus-response theories, social learning theory (observational learning, modeling, imitation), motivation and classroom learning, learning based theories of motivation, concept building in children and the role of the teacher, approaches to problem solving, psychology of adjustment, establishing and maintaining a good learning environment, and contemporary issues like child delinquency and truancy.
