Course Description: This is an introductory course for media and communication studies. Major theories concerning media and communication are introduced and the ways in which the theories can be applied to analyze our everyday communications are discussed in class. Theories of interpersonal communication, persuasion, and mediated communication are included. Assessment: attendance 15%, in-class participation and group activities 15%, reflection blogs and a presentation 30%, final exam 40%.
