Course Description: This course introduces the basic tools of game theory and its applications to business choices. The course covers normal form and extensive form games, games of perfect and imperfect/incomplete information, and introduces equilibrium concepts such as Nash equilibrium, subgame-perfect equilibrium and perfect Bayesian equilibrium. Students also look at repeated games and the theory of reputation. This course equips students with an understanding of the basic principles of strategic analysis, and enables them to apply the abstract theory to specific real-world problems.
