Course Description: This course explores how contemporary debates in politics and international relation are revealed in popular culture. Course content is based on three core concepts: power, identity, and conflict. After being introduced to these major theories and definitions, students apply them in multifaceted ways to popular culture from House of Cards to Borgen, and from Eurovision to Game of Thrones.
