Course Description: This course teaches about Chinese society and culture in Chinese; teaches more advance Chinese words and sentence structures; improves Chinese essay writing skills along with Chinese speaking and listening skills; and provides some understand of how Chinese movies have developed and how they are currently developing. The course uses the following Chinese movies: Together with You; Living; Us; Drinks, Food, Man, Woman; The Path to Nowhere; and Charlotte's Headache. The teaching method is Professor explains information, starts discussions, share the background of the movies with the students; learn to vocabulary; watch the movie; discussion after every movie and language practice; essay after every movie
