Course Description: This course gives an outline of the evolutionary history and morphological diversity of fossil reptiles. It focuses on the origin and extinction of major groups such as turtles, crocodiles, marine reptiles, and dinosaurs. Visual instruments and real specimens are used during the lectures for the aid of comprehension. At the end of the course, students are expected to understand generally the evolution of amphibians and reptiles. Reference: VERTEBRATE PALAEONTOLOGY by M. J. Benton (2004). Assessment: reports (50%) and attendance and participation(50%).
