Course Description:	This course provides a romanticist perspective. The discipline itself is detached. It describes the facts of world affairs. It does not describe the feel of the facts. Are emotions not also “true”, however? Novels, paintings, poems and plays provide such emotions as do films. Two movies are highlighted each week. They exemplify an aspect of world affairs. Clips are shown from each and used as discussion-starters. Lists of questions are provided each week to structure the in-class discussion. Internet references to background reading are provided as well.
