Course Description: This course focuses on understanding Japanese patterns of communication and explores its application to interpersonal communication in everyday settings. The course examines Japanese cultural patterns of thinking and behavior, reviews basic intercultural topics in Japanese contexts, and explores the ways to communicate successfully in Japanese culture. The course is interactive and includes experiential learning activities, analysis of case studies, examination of film and television clips, presentations, and small group and whole group discussions.
