Course Description: This course covers the structure and function of biological nature, and outlines the relationships between organisms and its environment. More than 1500 thousand types of organisms are recognized to live on the earth now. These numerous organisms maintain various interrelationships with surrounding organisms and its environmental factors, which may support biological production in nature. The present subject addresses fundamental concepts of ecology necessary to understand mechanisms of nature in each category of population, community, and ecosystem. Assessment: final exam, short term papers.
