Course Description: This seminar theoretically and empirically discusses the commodification of knowledge and its availability to all. It also considers copying as a form of theft of piracy. It looks at concepts such as knowledge, creativity, innovation and intellectual property rights from a range of perspectives on International and Comparative Political Economy. Various cases are studied wherein actors argue over the protection of knowledge goods.
