Course Description: This course develops knowledge and technical skills in the area of financial accounting and reporting. The focus is on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In addition, the course aims to enhance ability to apply professional judgement to make sound financial reporting decisions and to effectively use accounting information in a business decision-making context. Classe include lecture style presentations, discussion of review exercises and case study analysis. Students will be encouraged engage in active learning and contribute to class discussion, particularly for review exercises and case study analysis.
