Course Description: The course concentrates on understanding modern Japanese society as asymmetric as a key word. Specifically, while freedom and equality are highlighted in modern Japanese society, asymmetry thinks about the modern Japanese society while tracing it in accordance with logic and context in that period. From the viewpoint of asymmetry through the work of finding a modern Japanese society, we acquire a stance of thinking by thinking about society as a compound eye. In addition, we aim to deepen knowledge about research methods and trends by touching appropriately on what kind of background the history research on the topic took up.
