Course Description:	Bioethics is the moral-philosophical interaction with the living. More specifically, Bioethics deals with the ethical standards of medical and technical care of people both in regards to their own biology and their ecological surroundings. Therefore, the field of a bioethics has an increasing societal relevance. The seminar introduces some of the key bioethical topics and arguments including: considerations on environmental and animal protection; euthanasia and the moral status of embryos; the possibilities of biotechnical optimization of humans.
