Course Description: This class, despite being labeled as a reading and writing class, focuses largely on all aspects of Chinese, including listening and speaking. Every week students learn a new set of vocabulary, usually around 40-45 new characters, and new grammar structures. This class is a more advanced alternative for intermediate Chinese students and is very rigorous in its expectations and new material. Students learn pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar of modern Chinese systematically. There are 2 levels according to the textbooks and the vocabulary.
