Course Description:	This course provides insights into cross-cultural contacts and historical archaeology of Africa. The course presents how cross-cultural contacts have influenced the evolution and development of various traits of contemporary culture of Africans. They courses teaches how to use oral and archival data as well as historical linguistics as adjuncts to the archaeological record in the interpretation of the cultural heritage of Africa for the purpose of social and economic development.
