Course Description: The course focuses on the geographical regions of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It examines the socio-economic development of the countries in these regions focusing on the problems of development and underdevelopment. Specifically, it discusses the social and economic challenges and opportunities of the developing world including urbanization, spatial inequalities, health systems, heritage and tourism, globalization, and industrialization processes. It also highlights strategies for addressing the challenges in the developing world.
