Course Description: This course introduces the framework of international law (IL). The course focuses on the basic history, philosophy, structure and major principles of IL. Guest lecturers are a part of this course. In lessons of Part II, a movie relevant to international affairs is screened. This event is a part of the “UNHCR Refugee Film Festival,” given that ICU is one of school partners of the project. See info at http://unhcr.refugeefilm.org/2018/en/news/. Previous study of law would be helpful, however, it is not required. Assessment: assignments (50%), presentation (30%), midterm exam (20%).
