Course Description: This course develops Arabic vocabulary and introduces complex sentence structure and grammar. The course introduces various aspects of Arab culture and history with a particular focus on Morocco, including topics such as social customs, religious traditions, and family life. The course materials include a primary textbook, magazine articles, daily newspapers, and short stories. The course develops speaking skills to allow for personal conversations and discussions on a several topics. The course explores the differences between modern standard Arabic and Moroccan colloquial Arabic.
