Course Description: This course examines various aspects of Moroccan culture and society including language, history, economics, literature, religion, arts, politics, and gender issues. The course explores the heterogeneity of Moroccan society. The course explores Morocco from both a local and regional standpoint in relation to the individual student perspective. The course identifies the origins of Moroccan culture and the major patterns that influence behavior, attitudes, values, and judgements of Moroccans.
